Currently for Sale

Some sculptors produce few works each year - that's me and my life. So showing work with groups such as the Association of Sculptors of Victoria is great - I can put one, two, three or sometimes more works in a show. I don't have to wait until I have accumulated enough for a solo exhibition before putting my work out into the world and getting feedback from fellow sculptors, friends, the public and all.

On the other hand sales are less common with group shows... and sales are needed, in particular for cast bronze, so that I can keep going.

When work is going into an exhibition I'll put it on Instagram. When it's done the rounds I'll post it here. In due course I'll get a credit card facility... let's see how this flies.

Protector

This one was shown at Herring Island - a response to the previous year's Annual Exhibition being shown in a city building connecting two levels of city streets so that I had no idea where the real ground level was... so the landscape is important here - an old railway sleeper - maybe red gum, maybe jarrah... and the cast glass protector eagle flying over weaving a pattern of interdependent relationships.
